Renting a Car in L'Escala


Car Rental agencies are quite few and far between in L'Escala. One of the best tips for renting a car while in the area is to get one from Girona Airport, if this is your arrival airport. The prices are cheap, the agencies are some of the most popular in the world. If you are staying in L'Escala, you dont really need to rent a car, the town is small enought that it's possible to travel around the town without the need of a car. L'Escala is a nice town, but their are many other places of interest in the close by area. A short drive away is the Marina Town of Empuriabrava, L'Estartit, and Lloret de Mar.

Taking a short break or a full holiday in L'escala will be relaxing, enjoyable and if you want....energetic. Not only does Escala have a quiet side it also has some great nightlife, clubs and bars. The town centre is full of exciting places to have fun, with your family, wife or partner.
During the day you can relax on the beach, hire a car and take a drive out or shop in some of towns gift shops and supermarkets. Getting to Escala is simple, only a short car drive or bus trip from Girona airport, or Barcelona being a little further away but still an enjoyable train journey.

For you Golf fanatics in the near by area are many golf courses including Peralada, Torre Mirona and the Emporda 27 hole course. For the irls their is a market on the water front every Sunday selling everything from fruit to leather goods.

Escala

L'Escala is one of Costa Bravas smallest resorts, this does not mean it is small on amenities, L'escala has something for everyone. The centre of town has some great things for everyone, small local gift shops, superb restaurants and bars and also the beach is always blue flagged, this means the water quality is excellent.
The surrounding areas that are close to L'Escala are superb, a short driving distance and you have Empuriabrava, Port de la Selva, L'Estartit and the ever so popular Lloret de Mar.
L'Escala is a small community of only 6000 permanant residents, this swells to 4 or 5 times as many in the high season of July and August. The town has a wealth of nationalities, from English to French, German and now people from eastern Europe are starting to make L'Escala their home town.
